afc Justice 0 v 2 Dollymount

Gav Hughes was the star of this very strong performance from Dollymount as he set up the first for Craig and scored the second. It started in the first minute when Justice. right full took Gav out of it. Gav just got up and smiled and proceeded to roast the full back for the rest of the game.
The first goal came within 5 minutes when Gav came wide down the left wing and rounded the back and picked out the late run of Craig into the 6yard box, where Craig just placed the ball passed the keeper.
The second after 15 mins, again beating the full back, got into the box and curled the ball into the top right corner.
Fair play to Justice they tried to play the ball but found it hard to get by the midfield of DOC, Conor, Fionn & Gav with Tom helping out in midfield has he was playing in the hole between mid & front. Anything that by mid was dealt with very well by the defence of Steve R. Germain on left and the centre halves of Aido and Glenn who seem to have set up a good understanding, and of course Steve Hogg keep.
Dollymount should have won by more, with Fionn getting in the right position to score at least 4 times, with either the keeper or the wrong side of the post beating him each time. Craig had a very good free kick brilliantly saved by Justice's very good keeper. Craig should have done better in the second 1/2 when he was clean through with only the keeper to beat, but had too much time and the keeper again won out.
Al McLoughlin, Mark and Quinner came on for Fionn, Tom and Craig respectively, who had all put in a very good performance.
. James was disappointed that nobody had capes or masks but perked up when he saw, one of the Justice team had taken the name to heart and wore a superman t-shirt

1ST WIN OF SEASON

Short write-up going to watch the Armenia match
DOLLYMOUNT 4 V 0 SIEMENS
Dollymount started slowly and were under pressure for the first 15 minutes. But the defence of Aido, Glenn, Germain, Fionn and keeper Steve Hogg dealt excellently with everything Siemens throw at them. Dollymount's midfield got more into the match after that and Dollymount started to put their own pressure on.
Mid way through the first Dollymount had earned numerous corners and it was from one these corners, whipped in by Craig that Aido got his head on the ball and buried it into the roof of the net after making his run from the edge of the box. This settled any nerves and Dollymount were well in control for the rest of the half.
Dollymount up the tempo after the break. Tom, Mark and Steve R. came on for Mick, Alan McL and Glenn (he'd been battered and bruised) in the 2nd half. Tom scored on the line with some fancy foot work, some called it falling over but personally I taught it was a sight it to behold. Again Craig was the provider.
With the defence still coping very well with any attacks and the marking by everyone a big improvement, with it being much tighter and getting closer to their opponents and the central midfield of DOC & Conor winning more of the ball, Dollymount never really looked in trouble and could of sat out the game.
But the players wanted more and craved out a few more good chances, mainly from the wings where they got in behind the Siemens defence. Craig then became goal scorer with 2 excellent finishes. The second one being the pick of the two. Tom headed the ball to Craig on the 1/2 way line, turned and ran 10 yards into their half seeing the keeper 8yards off his line, Craig decided not to lob the keeper but to hit a thunder bolt  over his head.
Quinner also had a good industrious game with his new NQ 13 haircut. Picture next week with any luck
